Home Entertainment Part I

It is really challenging for us to be inside a lot. Sometimes we go to the store just to get out! We tried going to the park once, but by 10:30 we were DYING from the heat and humidity. We go to the pool whenever the sun isn't too strong. We even go in the rain as long as there isn't bad lightning.

Luckily, Mason is at the age where we can start doing projects and playing games that are fun for me too. Since we're indoors so much, we just had to start getting more creative.

Here is an activity that always entertains us. Glow Sticks! Mason has a large empty closet in his room that has become our glow-sticking head quarters. When Jason is on important work calls and needs the noise to go away, we head to the closet and have fun!

We make crazy shapes, we throw them in the air, and we balance them on our heads until they fall. Mason likes to make circles and put them on his hands and feet and then dance around in the dark.

Special Occasion Variation: The most fun we have with glow sticks is in the bath tub. We fill the tub with water and bubbles, turn off the lights, and then I throw glow sticks into the water. They make the bubbles glow different colors and Mason enjoys searching for the them. It's the most fun way to get clean.
